Gift yourself time amongst the trees to switch off from the responsibilities and pressures of everyday modern working life to nourish your mind, body and soul with the supportive power of connecting with nature.
Breathe in the fresh air, feel the elements on your skin, hear the rustle of nature going about its day.
Step into the woods to switch off from technology and the everyday responsibilities of modern life and let nature help you to release the tension from the busy lives we lead. Space to rest, restore and recharge amongst the trees.
Nature supports your wellbeing
Forest-Bathing is proven to support your mental and physical health and it continues to do so long after you've left the trees behind you. During the walk you will experience how being immersed in nature benefits you. What you recieve from your time in nature depends on what you naturally need on the day.
You'll take away from the walk simple nature based practices that you can continue to incorporate into your life to support your wellbeing, helping to balance the demands of work and life.
About the Session
You will be guided by Amanda, a certified Forest-Bathing Practitioner and Forest Therapy Guide who will support you throughout the session. Before we start she explains what we'll be doing, offering tips and guidance to make it a safe experience for you.
During the walk you wil be offered a series of 'invitations' or exercises to support you with slow downing, switching off from the everyday and becoming present so you can explore all this nourishing practice has to offer.
Noticing what you see, hear, feel, smell and not forgetting your natural instincts, your intuition too. Doing so enables you to connect to the natural world.
There'll be space for reflection, asking questions and you can share with the group as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
All invitations are optional, so if you'd rather skip one that's always ok, this is your time.
Each walk is lightly themed by the season.

A tranquil, hidden nature haven covering 28 acres created as a private 'garden' by Sir Bernard Lovell in the mid 1950s (he was best known for his telescope at nearby Jodrell Bank). His love for trees and plants is evident through the unusual mixture of species from far and wide (with champion trees too). There are many nature nooks and crannys with tree lined avenues, grassy walks and a large pond the family created as a feature.
