jump straight to event calendar

Be Nourished By Nature

Leave technology and the to-do lists behind as you experience how nature gifts you a powerful, safe, restorative space to take a break. A morning for you to rest deeply, release tension, soothe your mind and recharge your energy.

A Forest Bathing walk is proven to:

  • reduce stress, depression & anxiety
  • improve focus, concentration & memory
  • reduces tiredness & recharge energy
  • improve the length & quality of sleep
  • reduce blood pressure  & support any metabolic disorders
  • boost the immune system by increasing NK cells
  • alleviate any social isolation

The benefits from taking a 2 hour Forest Bathing walk will last long after you've left the trees behind you. You can find out more here

Slow right down to nature's pace and notice all that surrounds you and that you are a part of in the natural world. Breathe in the fresh air, feel the elements on your skin, hear the rustle of nature going about its day.

What is Forest Bathing?

Forest-bathing is a gentle yet powerful practice of immersing yourself in nature. Although our connection with nature goes back as long as time this practice originated in Japan in the 1980s where it's known as Shinrin-Yoku, meaning 'to bathe in the forest'.

Hence the slightly funny name "Forest Bathing"

Don't worry - no swimming costumes are needed!

What happens on a guided Forest Bathing walk?

You will walk slowly through the woods, guided by Amanda, as she shares a series of nature connection 'invitations' or exercises to support you with exploring all this nourishing practice has to offer. Helping you to slow down, switch off and become present. Noticing what you see, hear, feel, smell and not forgetting your natural instincts, your intuition too. Doing so enables you to connect with all that the natural world has to offer you.

There'll be space for reflection, asking questions and you can share with the group as much or as little as you feel comfortable.

You'll take away with you simple nature practices that you can continue to incorporate into your life to support your wellbeing.

Cuppa & Chat Afterwards

You're welcome to stay on for an optional social over a cuppa at the cafe or pub on site to connect more with the group. Please note drinks/food are not included in the ticket price and it is optional to join the social afterwards.

Any questions please email Amanda at amanda@letsstepin.com

A tranquil, hidden nature haven covering 28 acres created as a private 'garden' by Sir Bernard Lovell in the mid 1950s. Who was best known for his telescope at nearby Jodrell Bank. His love for trees and plants is evident through the unusual mixture of species from far and wide (with champion trees too).  There are many nature nooks and crannys with tree lined avenues, grassy walks and a large pond the family created as a feature.
